If you passed your Car driving test after January 1st 1997 and you want to tow a trailer behind a van then you have to take a Car/Van and Trailer test (B+E).
If you passed your Car driving test prior to January 1st 1997 you are automatically licenced to tow a trailor behind a van/car. However we suggest anyone unfamiliar with towing a trailer takes a short course, usually 1 day, to learn how to drive, reverse and couple up correctly.
