The PCV D licence covers all buses and coaches including double deckers and bendibuses. Towing of trailers is not covered by this licence.
Minimum age for a full licence is 21 years. However drivers over 18 years old can get a restricted licence which allows them to drive minibuses anywhere in the UK and bigger buses and coaches on scheduled routes of less than 50 kms. The restriction comes off automatically on their 21st birthday.
A provisional bus licence must be obtained.
