C1 licence is for drivers who passed their car driving test after January 1st 1997 and wish to drive a van or rigid goods vehicle over 3.5 tonnes up to a maximum permitted weight of 7.5 tonnes.
This licence is required for most ambulances.
This licence is available for drivers aged 18 or over who have a full car driving licence.
If you are over 21 years old we recommend that you should consider the LGV C licence which allows you to drive all Rigid goods vehicles.
